国際大会開催から市民利用まで、幅広い利用者を想定し、高度なスペックと日常の使いやすさの両立を目指した総合体育館。
メイン・サブアリーナの屋根架構には埼玉県産の杉の無垢材を使用。厳重な含水率、ヤング係数などの全数検査を経た150角の材で、接着剤を用いずにアーチを構成し、最大67mのスパンを実現している。
また、環境先進都市・所沢のシンボルとなるべく、リサイクル材の積極的な採用、自然通風・採光の確保など環境負荷を極力低減する計画とした。

Designed to accommodate a wide range of users—from hosting international competitions to serving the local community—the facility aims to balance high-performance specifications with everyday usability.
The roof structure of the main and sub-arenas utilizes solid cedar timber sourced from Saitama Prefecture. Using 150mm-square timbers that have undergone rigorous quality control—including strict moisture content and Young’s modulus testing—the arches are constructed without adhesives, achieving spans of up to 67 meters.
Furthermore, to serve as a symbol of Tokorozawa, a city at the forefront of environmental initiatives, the design actively incorporates recycled materials and ensures natural ventilation and daylighting, minimizing environmental impact as much as possible.
