川越城址本丸御殿の近く、市立博物館に隣接して計画された美術館。
漆喰の白壁や和瓦により伝統的な周辺環境に配慮し隣接する市立博物館との調和を持たせると共に、現代的素材も組合せるせることで美術館としての独自性を表現している。
　
　
An art museum next to the city’s historical museum, near the remains of Kawagoe Castle.
